REVIEWS
What do people do while living between historical periods? They talk about the past and try to imagine the future. This book by Vadim Makhov is invaluable precisely because it represents a collection of timely reflections, an attempt to give a prologue to a new historical period. The central point of the book, as I see it, is search for the meaning of social and biological evolution and for answers to questions of concern to all of us: what change will occur next, what new things will happen to us? To answer these questions, the author puts forward what I have called ‘the Makhov hypothesis’.
Alexander Auzan, DSc (Economics), Professor, Dean of the Faculty of Economics of Lomonosov Moscow State University, Scientific Director of the Institute for National Projects
This is truly a big-idea book that is, at the same time, free from distorting and juggling facts. Vadim has created a unique body of knowledge about humanity, seen through the prism of his original ‘lucky clover’ theory, which can be disputed as rather ambiguous, but cannot be denied grace.
