Last night, LID celebrated the launch of Graham Hogg’s book Seeing Around Corners, the book that connects the dots between big data and business strategy.
The launch took place at WeWork South Bank Central, and was filled with a warm crowd of friends, family and colleagues.
After an introduction from Martin Liu, General Manager at LID UK, Graham then went on to say a few words before an interview and question and answer session with Ben Walker, Editor of Dialogue magazine.
Graham explained that the goal behind Seeing Around Corners and his work with Connectworxs was to help companies ask the right questions to add value, and demonstrate a commitment to sharing insights across departments.
He expanded to say that changes to work culture are about day-to-day behaviours that you see in everyday life rather than an over-arching motto.
Seeing Around Corners approaches Big Data from a human angle, helping teams ask better questions to avoid the dangers of old working practises. As the availability of data increases, it becomes ever more important that decision makers can fully exploit the potential of analytics to become a key driver of competitive advantage, underpinning new waves of productivity, growth, innovation and customer insight.
