It will come as no surprise to you that the Royal Wedding between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle is Saturday 19th May. The event has been dominating the news with everything from the detailed timetable of the ceremony, to superimposed pictures of Meghan in various wedding dresses and the will-he-won’t-he debate around her father attending.
With the wedding being such a monumentus occasion in British and American history and culture, we asked some of the LID Publishing team what they are doing to celebrate the Royal Wedding this weekend.
Niki Mullin, Business Development Director
“I’m off to Shoreditch House where they’re doing afternoon tea and watching the Wedding on the big screen”
Francesca Stainer, Publicist
“I’m at a birthday brunch so I am really hoping it is playing somewhere in the restaurant or there’s good wifi so we can live stream on our phones!”
Natasha Tsakiris, Publicist
“No one can believe it, but I am off to Windsor on Saturday to be in the thick of it! I’m new to the UK having lived in Toronto. I figured it would be a wasted opportunity to not be there.”
Charlotte Raynard, Events and Marketing Executive
“It’s meant to be nice weather this weekend. I think we’ll have a BBQ and watch it – make a day of it!”
Liz Cooley, Assistant Editor
“I’m actually going to a wedding, not ‘the’ wedding, but a friend’s wedding in London. So I’ll be celebrating in aid of another couple unfortunately.”
