Pedro Algorta on BBC Radio

LID author Pedro Algorta was interviewed by not one, but three BBC Radio stations ahead of the release of his new book Into the Mountains: The extraordinary true story of survival in the Andes and its aftermath. Pedro was featured on BBC Radio Cambridge ahead of his talk at the Microsoft Research Centre, BBC World Service Outlook programme and BBC Radio 4’s Midweek.

Pedro was one of 16 survivors of the Uruguayan plane crash in the Andes in 1972. His story of surviving 70 days stranded on the mountain before going on to become CEO of Argentina’s largest brewery has inspired thousands. Into the Mountains has been doing incredibly well and on Amazon and earlier this month was #1 in the Business and Negotiation Skills category.
