However, taking a company from an eager start-up to a rocksteady brand is far from straightforward. There are plenty of ups and downs which need to be successfully navigated if you want to see your business still standing five or ten years down the line.

I’ve seen a huge range of businesses run crowdfunding campaigns across many different market sectors. I’m often surprised by which campaigns capture the attention and imagination of investors, soaring towards their target like a rocket into space, and which end up faltering midway through. Some of the strongest campaigns on paper can sometimes struggle, whereas others look potentially weaker but do incredibly well.
