LID AUTHOR SIMON MAC RORY WINS BEST FOREIGN BOOK IN 2021 “PwC BUSINESS BOOK OF THE YEAR IN RUSSIA” AWARD FOR THE BOOK WAKE UP AND SMELL THE COFFEE: THE IMPERATIVE OF TEAMS.

 

Russia’s most important award for Russian-language business books – the “PwC Business Book of the Year in Russia” – was held on 3 June at the 24th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. The award consists of three categories of books: (i) Best Book by a Russian Author; (ii) Best Book by a Foreign Author; and (iii) Best Book to Help Business.

Simon Mac Rory, author of Wake Up and Smell the Coffee: The Imperative of Teams, picked up the prestigious prize of Best Book by a Foreign Author. First published by LID in English in 2018, the Russian edition of this book was published by Olympus Business Publishers. Irina Sedakova, the head of Olympus Business, collected the award on behalf of her company and Simon.

 

Igor Lotakov, Country Manager Partner of PwC Russia, commented about the award:

“This year, [a total of 169] books from 29 different publishing houses were nominated. Almost 12,000 people participated in voting for the best business books and the competition reached an audience of more than 10 million people.”

 

Author Simon Mac Rory commented about his award:
